December 18th, 2007, Madrid, Spain — Guillermo Sedano has been hailed as one of Europe’s young master painters, winning the 22nd Annual BMW Prize in Madrid. Sedano won the prestigious award for his painting 'Nevada' ('Snow'). In the stated group opinion of the judges: “Nevada is a winter landscape, with a realist basis and impressionist touch which represents the effect of a snowfall. The whites and grays contrast with the copper-colored rocks on a rusty, scrap metal base, in perfect harmony, creating an atmosphere that is crystal-clear and clean”. Sedano was awarded by Queen Sofia of Spain.

2007— The regional Murcia government published a new book on sculptor Mariano González Beltrán. The 208 pages of this luxury edition are the most complete review of Beltran's works ever made.
